How does someone become a psychic?

How does someone become a psychic?
Do they train from someone or is it a born talent?
Someone is just born that way? What if they can learn to channel although they aren’t born that way?

I knew you were going to ask this question.

You don’t become, you either are or are not.

Suggestion by Scorpy
You can’t be trained to become a psychic. It’s a born talent.

A psychic said this about my ex….opinion? PLEASE!?
My mom was visiting me in Hawaii a few weeks ago when I found out my boyfriend had secretly been speaking with his ex. He hadn’t been telling her anything like he missed her or wanted her back, but they were recalling sexual moments they had when they were together, etc. That really hurt me. Well, of course, we broke up, as I felt betrayed. He knew how I felt about him even talking to her, and in such a manner made it worse.

Well, my mom went to a psychic and simply asked, “what about my daughter’s relationship?” She said the psychic got a worried look on her face and said, “this guy is a manipulator…controlling. Is he homeless?” Well, my boyfriend is in the Navy and his family tends to move around a lot. He never really knows how to get a hold of them. I didn’t think much of what the psychic said until a few days later, when my boyfriend came to me and BROKE DOWN, confessing he had realized he was in love with me and had purposely pushed me away because the last time he fell in love, he was cheated on…three times.

Should I believe him, like I want to or put more weight on what the psychic said and avoid him? Part of me wants to give him a second chance, as he is trying REALLY hard to prove himself. He’s even told me he wants to go to therapy to work on his issues, waiting years for me. He told me I’m more than he ever could have imagined a woman could be…I’m nervous to love him openly again, but it’s what I want…

Don’t believe any commercial “psychic”. If someone was TRULY psychic or could predict the future they would be living a grand life using their talents to benefit themselves and the ones close to them, not cheaply selling them to strangers. If you could see the future don’t you think that gift would be worth more then 20 bucks an hour?

If I were you, I’d trust your boyfriend. He didn’t do anything that wrong. Give him a break.

Psychics learn “cold read” techniques, and are likely to say something ambiguous but mildly negative about any relationship of a child. This is because parents seldom bring up relationships with a “psychic” when things are going well.

For instance, let me put on my “psychic” hat. You are a woman who is very intuitive, but though you are a good judge of character, you often have a blind spot for friends who betray you. You’re searching for love and are unsure of the way you should go. Your present boyfriend is lost, and is likely trying to find his way just like you. To clear a channel between you, you’ll need to connect as friends.

It is nothing more than throwing out a bunch of generalities. The only ones that really ‘stick’ are the ideas that resonate with you. The ‘inaccuracies are ignored. And of course everything is very vague. There are two general types of psychics, “eyes wide open” and “eyes wide shut”. The “eyes wide open” psychics will admit that they are using generalities and getting feedback/information from the person. “The “eyes wide shut” psychics are self deluded and actually believe their own deception.

“Feedback” and information can come from a wide variety of sources. The psychic will look at the clothes a person wears, jewelry, car/bumper stickers and make educated guesses based on this information. For instance:
Nice car: You have money, but have found that this is not enough to make you happy.
Outdoorsy clothes: you enjoy the out doors, (and if fat) but don’t get to enjoy it as much as you want.
Liberal bumper sticker: You care about people, and want to help people less fortunate than you.
Conservative bumper sticker: You care deeply about freedom and making sure things are fair for everyone.
Sun tan: you spend a lot of time outdoors
No tan: you spend most of your time in indoor pursuits.

This is often the point where the psychic will try to sell you a charm or lift a “curse” to remove your blindness and make things clearer for you.
